A favorite bible verse has long shaped our faith, Proverbs 3:5-6,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on
your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and
he will make your paths straight.” While you can never
predict what lies ahead, we do trust that the Lord will lead
us where he calls us.
While living in Texas for 11 years, we were blessed by sharing
our home with friends. We had countess gatherings - small groups,
missions meetings, bible studies, etc. with friends and neighbors.
We enjoyed time together discussing the Word of God and how
it was working in our daily lives. We were content that God
called us to live in Texas indefinitely, where we would raise
our son and daughter and serve Him in the home, community, and
marketplace.
Yet, 2004 proved to be not a time of contentment, but rather
a year of change far greater than ever imaginable. A corporate
relocation which moved our family from Texas to Connecticut
seemed to be enough. But, soon after settling into our new home,
we experienced job elimination. After nearly a 25 year corporate
career, this was a new experience, and a rather unsettling feeling
to say the least. This is where prayer and trust prevailed.
God spoke to us through our innermost thoughts and circumstances
that defy commonplace reasoning.
Following persistent prayer and seeking Gods will in our lives,
God placed on our hearts a thought to pursue a business that
would bring honor and glory to Him. The decision was made to
sell quality Home Décor items which display the word
of God and share our faith. This led to the formation of our
first business, True Vine Embroidery - which is our manufacturing
business that produces a complete line of custom embroidered
Home Décor products. True Vine is the exclusive provider
of embroidered products on ChirstianGiftsPlace.com.
Soon after, in early 2005, we were led to create a retail store
that would not only be the home for True Vine Embroidery products,
but also display a wide range of quality Christian gifts for
the home. We wanted to create a place where anyone could easily
locate Christian products, whether it is for themselves or a
gift for a friend. This place became, ChristianGiftsPlace.com…
THE place for Christian gifts!
In August, 2005we launched our ‘Fundraising with a Purpose’ Program. In
addition to creating a line of embroidered home décor products, and a
retail marketplace for Christian gifts, we felt led to create a fundraising line
for church groups, schools and non-profit organizations. We wanted to provide
products that not only raised money for Kingdom purposes, but also shared the
Word of God. Our lineup of fundraising products includes home décor
and fine Christian gifts – items that easily sell themselves and bring
scripture into the homes of those who purchase them. Our prayer is that
God will abundantly bless the organizations conducting the fundraising, and in
turn will enable them to achieve their financial goals while sharing the Word
of God.
CHARITABLE GIVING
We donate 2% of all sales (before taxes and shipping) to Young
Life Ministries. Young Life is a non-denominational, Christian
organization committed to impacting kid's lives and preparing
them for the future. For more than six decades, Young Life has
been introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them
grow in their faith, while providing strong, positive influences
